Rob Robbins - Oaktown,
Indiana
Farmer for 21 years
“Vigoro Seeds gives me confidence that
my yields will be consistent,” says corn
and soybean farmer Rob Robbins of Oaktown, Indiana.
A farmer for 21 years, Robbins decided to try
Vigoro Seeds seven years ago because of proven
plot yields. “Vigoro varieties are consistent
and they are one of the top producers in our yearly
seed test plot,” Robbins notes.

Ronald P. Bailey, Jr.,
of Cheriton, Virginia, has been a farmer for 25
years. Three years ago he decided he wanted to try
something new and different. He trusted the advice
of his Royster-Clark representative and tried Vigoro
Seeds. “Not only is the yield better than
others,” Bailey says, “but the quality
of beans and the test weight are good. The seed
is uniform in size.” To Bailey, the plants
seem to hold up in adverse weather. “Even
in a dry year such as 2002, Vigoro soybeans seemed
to do well and they shattered less than other brands,”
he says. |

Farmer
Ralph W. Dodd of Eastville, Virginia, has been a
Royster-Clark customer for 20 years. So when his
Farmarket representative recommended he try Vigoro
Seeds soybeans, he did. “They have made soybeans
profitable (for me) in the last two years,”
he said. With 400 acres of soybeans, Dodd’s
largest crop, he is glad that Vigoro “performs
in adverse conditions.” |

| As
a farmer of 900 acres of corn and 800 acres of soybeans,
Ronald Dowland of Greenfield, Illinois, has a lot
at stake. Fortunately, he says, Vigoro Seeds “proved
on our own farms that it matched yields with national
yield leaders.” He first tried Vigoro on a
limited basis, and “it started outyielding
the other brands we’d been planting,”
says Dowland. Another bonus, according to Dowland,
is the “personnel has proved to be there any
time we need them.” Outstanding yields and
service — a winning combination! |

| “Vigoro has been
extremely competitive with national brands while
staying reasonably priced,” says Kevin Killebrew
of Greenview, IL. He should know – he’s
been a believer in Vigoro for ten years. His corn
yields have increased by four to six bushels and
his soybean yields by five bushels. “Vigoro
has good traits,” he says, “And my Farmarket
representative can answer all my agronomy questions
to my satisfaction.” |

Farmer for 26 years

“I
have constant access to my seed dealer by dealing
with Royster-Clark,” says William C. Jones
of Montross, VA. A Vigoro customer for just two
years, Jones has been satisfied with his results
the last two years. “Vigoro 5110 seed corn
was best on my farm in 2002 by 10-15 bushels,”
he says. Additionally, “Vigoro 450 soybean
seed did a good job for me in 2002 under poor growing
conditions.” |
